Evan possesses strong, hands-on, knowledge of designing, administering and programming SQL Server Databases, backed up by experience on developing .NET applications and design of enterprise-level virtualized infrastructures. He has a good understanding of technology trends and developments and is an expert at applying his skills to solve complex challenges and supporting enterprise level software development projects.
With his previous employer, as a member of an excellent administrative team, Evan supported the SQL Server 2008/2014 infrastructure of the entire organization. As part of his duties, he administrated troubleshoot and optimized the preexisting SQL Server 2008 infrastructure. He also designed and implemented an SQL Server 2014 infrastructure for a new Enterprise Data Warehouse, developed with Agile/Scrum methodology, while supporting all development efforts across the entire organization.
In the past, he worked on two of the most vital Greek Educational Administrative systems, which managed detailed information about all schools, students and teachers in Greece. He also served as responsible for the SQL infrastructure of National Higher Education Entrance Examination of Greece. While maintaining his duties as a SQL Server DBA and after his own initiative and proposal, worked on the architectural and technical design and implementation of the first government owned Private Cloud in Greece, based on Windows 2012 and System Center 2012, which consolidated the preexisting IT infrastructure.
On a personal level, he has strong listening skills, needed to acquire and comprehend user requirements and is more than competent on independently working on most phases of development and implementation activities. He is able to make an immediate impact on a project and has an eagerness to evolve existing systems and technology.
